"Chiquita" is about identity and trade.  It all started in a Belgian supermarket by the coincidence of sharing the same name (childhood nickname) and country of origin with those bananas.

Through a burlesque perspective, the project inevitably developed into a piece that aimed to question the role of multinational companies in developing countries and the consequences that their presence has brought.  

 

"Chiquita" was a selection of the Jury for the Prix Mediatine 2004 in Brussels.
